Snow on my juniper and willow

by Youri van Pinxteren
(Ulvenhout, Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands)

This was my first (real) year of having bonsai. I had a little tree 2 years ago, and made it myself and thought it was a bonsai... but it was not.

I wanted to learn more about bonsai and having a real one, so a year ago I bought a juniper from a nursery. My other bonsai, a group of willows, was my second bonsai. I made it myself, after reading lots of books and information about making a group. I've made it around October 2010, so I haven't had it long yet.

This was also my first year that I saw snow on my bonsai, it's beautiful to see them hanging down by the snow.

Just wanted to share this photo with you!
(it's taken from outside, so maybe it's a bit too far too see).
