Serissa Mountain

by Carl L. Rosner

Serissa mountain combination 2009

Serissa mountain combination 2009

I have had this Serissa planting since February 12, 1998 when I traded all my cacti for a few (Bonsai) seedlings.

I lost a lot of Serissa seedlings trying to grow them indoors until I started putting them out doors in my flower bed through out the winter. Somwhere I had read that Serissa are sometimes used for hedges. I have never lost a Serissa since given them a dormant period.

Here is a combination picture of my "Serissa Mountain" taken June 2, 2009.

A side note: My Serissa Mountain has recovered from it's dormancy of the winter of 2010, and I have already observed one flower so far this month. There are, also, a few flower buds visible!

From the soil to the top of the mountain measures 7.5 inches. The Forest pot measures 9 inches deep by 13.5 inches long.
