Juniper Survivor

by Mark Polson
(Cape Town, South Africa)

My father in-law planted this Juniper on his farm in George, South Africa, 25 years ago.

It has survived an accidental hit-and-run by a farm tractor 15 years ago and a bush fire about 10 years ago. I managed to remove it from the ground last spring and can't wait to get stuck in designing it.

A Real Challenge
by: Carl L. Rosner

Mark:
I know you are coming into the spring,so get ready to do your thing!

Just remember, one distress at a time! Style it, but don't re-pot at the same time.

Although I am not a fan of Junipers, I wish you luck on developing a beauty!

Warmest regards from Southern NJ, USA

A Challenge
by: Carol

How neat to have a tree with such history!

I have a friend who always draws a picture of what his bonsai plan is. If you do that, will you send a picture? It looks like a real challenge to me.
