(Fort Myers, Fl, USA)
I bought this imported tree from Erik Wigert's nursery in 2006, my first investment in a large tree. It is about 32" tall and wide.
My goal was to develop the "quintessential" Bonsai and I think this tree shows grace, balance and is at peace with its world.
It was selected for the 2nd National Exhibition in 2010 in Buffalo, NY.
At the time, I had no display table, so I commissioned Sean Smith to create one and together, they are very presentable.
By the way, the Exhibition is extraordinary and I strongly recommend that all enthusiasts attend at least one.
This species is easily grown here in Fort Myers, FL and remains one of my favorites.
